ABOUT CLIMATE AND ENERGY REALISM

Climate and Energy Realism relies on the factual, scientific study of what has happened and currently is happening to the earth’s climate. It embraces all available historical records and does not seek to alter or amend them in order to assert a false narrative. Neither does it rely on spurious computer modelling to generate consistently inaccurate predictions.

Does that mean you deny climate change? Of course not! This charge is often levelled to de-legitimise our information. We acknowledge the climate has always and will always change. Otherwise we would live in a perpetual ‘Groundhog Day’ of the same average temperature, humidity, rainfall, prevailing wind and cloud cover. What we categorically deny is that there currently exists a ‘Climate Emergency’ or anything remotely resembling it.

What do you mean when you say energy realism? We want the same level playing field used for all energy sources, be they traditional fossil fuels or alternative energy systems. They should be judged according to reliability, cost, environmental impact and toxicity. There should be no government subsidies given in order to preference one source over another. To each according to their merits.

What is your attitude to curbing emissions and Net Zero Carbon?

We reject both concepts and the draconian policies that they result in. There is an entirely false, and in fact fraudulent, assertion that carbon dioxide (CO2) is a dangerous pollutant that causes runaway global warming. CO2 is a colourless, odourless, non-toxic trace gas necessary for all life on earth. The very slight increase in CO2 level has primarily resulted in the greening of the planet and should be celebrated not demonised.

What’s in it for me? Cheaper and 100% reliable power for your home, business or organisation. Let’s face it, no-one wants to pay the current exorbitant power bills, which are only going to rise further in spite of what governments are going to say. No-one wants to face black-outs and brown-outs, particularly in peak demand periods. Wind droughts are very real and supposed back-up by batteries lasts for minutes not hours. Imagine when you want your hot shower and coffee in the morning and there’s a problem? How much better off would your business or organisation be without crippling power bills?
